FAQ

No. All of our instructors are AHA certified. Maintaining this means we agree to abide by the lessons and plans put forth by The American Heart Association with regard to our classes. We simply believe that most adult learners are capable of learning the material presented and the skills required in less than the 4 hour time frame usually allotted for a class.  The length of a course, then, will vary depending on the skill level of the students. Rest assured, however, that your course will not be "completed" until you have shown competency in the skills, no matter the length of time it takes.

Will shorter class times affect my level of training?

I will be the first to say you can get your CPR certification through multiple venues in this area. Prices vary, as do class availability, but all will issue true AHA CPR cards. What sets us apart is our approach to the learning environment. We don't believe in wasting your time, we believe learning CPR can be a fun experience, and we stand by the fact we have the best, most dynamic instructors in the business!

Why should I use 9/11 Training? CPR is CPR right?

We are different from the ground up. Instead of making you come to our office to take your course we either come to you or meet in a classroom in our community. We don't believe in making you sit through a specific block of time for a class. If we provide the material, and you show proficiency in your skills, then you've met the standard for certification. Our prices are lower as well due to our limited overhead. We don't have offices to maintain or large, hospital style simulator labs that, while excellent training aids for physicians and hospital code teams, aren't realistic for the majority of CPR student needs.

How do you compare with other CPR companies?
How does 9/11 Training save me money?

We've designed our courses with you in mind. Cost savings over our competitors comes in two forms: cost per student and reduction of additional costs. Our cost per student is between $5.00-$10.00 less than our competition depending on the amount of students participating in training. In addition, as an employer, if you are paying your people to attend training, then shorter class times equal less capital to get your people trained. Instead of paying overtime for a four hour class, if you can only pay for a three hour class, the cost savings could be substantial. Also, if you find a lower training rate, let us know. We may be able to meet it or even beat it.

9/11 Training offers two different CPR cards. The first is the official American Heart Association card. The second is our proprietary card issued by 9/11 Training. For most health care needs, the AHA card is required. There are times, however, when a business simply requires proof of CPR training or requests specialized training for specific industries. As this training falls outside of the AHA guidelines, a proprietary card is issued to fulfill their requirements. Please note that the proprietary card IS NOT recognized by the AHA under any circumstances. It is simply to show training in CPR has been given.

What are the differences in you cards?

This is a trick question. Your CPR card expires 2 years from the issue date. HOWEVER...many employers require yearly updates. This is especially true for health care workers. Best advice? Check with your employer as to how often they require CPR training.
